    Colombian municipality, capital of the department of Sucre. It’s located in the northwestern part of the country, in the Colombian Caribbean Region. Sincelejo was re-founded by the captain and engineer Antonio de la Torre y Miranda, by order of the governor of Cartagena, Juan de Torrezar Diaz Pimienta.
