Cooperativa Multiactiva de Transportadores Omega Ltda, as this Bus Operator is currently known, was founded in 1965 in Moniquira, Boyacá in order to provide a massive service to the community, with a wide variety of destinations and a wide range of destinations and a huge bus fleet, However, the beginnings of Omega date back to 1948, the year in which a group of transporters emerged with the idea of ​​communicating the Boyacense municipality of Togui with other destinations in the department and with other places mainly in Santander and Norte de Santander. In this way, a company called Transportes Pomeca began to operate, a name that it received thanks to the Pomeca River which is part of this area of ​​the department of Boyaca.

Transportes Pomeca operated with small buses and Dodge-branded minibusses until, over time, they were increasing their automotive fleet which allowed them to cover new routes and enter the shipping and parcel business. All this progress prompted new partners to join this project that was about to complete two decades of operation nationwide. This allowed the creation of a new company, thus emerging the Cooperativa Multiactiva de Transportadores Omega Ltda, or simply Omega. The growth of Omega was accelerated from its first day, reaching unthinkable places in its beginnings.

Omega operates in about 70 agencies in 13 departments of Colombia where it has a strong presence and remembrance among users, thanks to the confidence that their work has allowed them to earn.
