Rápido Ochoa is a company dedicated to passenger and parcel transportation, operating since its founding in Medellín in 1958. Initially serving the route to Barranquilla, Rápido Ochoa gradually added more destinations in southwestern Antioquia and along the Atlantic Coast, such as Sincelejo, Montería, Cartagena, Santa Marta, Valledupar, Riohacha, and Maicao.
Over time, Rápido Ochoa expanded its routes to inland areas like Bogotá, Bucaramanga, and Pereira, as well as to the Pacific Coast, specifically Cali and Quibdó. Quibdó is one of its most frequently served destinations due to the limited number of buses available. In total, Rápido Ochoa offers more than 60 routes nationwide.
Sincelejo is a Colombian city located in the Caribbean region and the capital of the department of Sucre. It is recognized for its strong cultural and savanna identity, its role as an administrative, commercial, and service center for the area, and its history, which dates back to an ancient indigenous settlement and its consolidation as a city in the 18th century.
Sincelejo has a warm tropical climate with savanna patterns, characterized by high temperatures year-round, typically ranging from around 18°C at night to over 35°C during the hottest hours. There is a marked dry season at the beginning of the year and a more intense rainy season between April and October, which creates hotter and more humid periods. However, the climate generally remains warm and humid due to its location in the Colombian Caribbean region.
One of the city's most emblematic plazas, a hub for cultural events, concerts, and traditional celebrations such as bullfights and folk festivals that reflect the local identity.
A religious architectural icon in the heart of Sincelejo, with its imposing neoclassical facade, it's a spiritual and historical meeting place for visitors and locals alike.
A popular urban green space frequented by residents and tourists alike for relaxing, strolling, and observing daily life, surrounded by cafes and historic buildings.
A vibrant traditional market where you can explore fresh produce, local crafts, regional flavors, and immerse yourself in the city's daily life.
Another central meeting point and hub for social activities, ideal for experiencing the energy of Sincelejo, enjoying local cuisine, and observing the savanna culture in action.

Excellent route, the bus was very comfortable, we experienced a 6h delay on this 12h-long route, but that was due to a closed road and was out of the company's control. I'm still not accustomed to the cold AC but overall it was a really good travel!
Once you have figured out your bus schedule, book your bus tickets easily with the redBus website or app. The site has been developed to ensure that passengers get their bus tickets booked and confirmed with minimum effort. All you have to do is follow the steps mentioned below:
After this step, you will be taken to a page that displays every bus operator that runs on the route you have requested. You can select a bus based on the bus timings, fares, pick-up and drop-off points, reviews, and more.
Select the seat of your choice by clicking on the “View Seats” button and then click on the “Proceed to Book” tab. You will be taken to the payment page where you can pay for your ticket using one of several banking options such as credit cards, debit cards, FPX, or any other mode that’s available.
Yes, redBus allows you to buy multiple tickets in a single transaction, ideal for group or family trips.
There are two main situations that may arise when boarding a bus. If your boarding point is any terminal in Colombia, passengers must print the bus ticket that was sent to them by email in PDF format. The second situation is when your boarding point is a bus stop and not a terminal. In this case, you will receive an M ticket that you must present before boarding the bus. If the operator does not provide an M ticket, you must print the ticket (PDF) that was sent to the email address you used to book your bus ticket on the redBus website. Some operators may charge a fee if these conditions are not met.
You can do so through the redBus platform, provided the transportation company allows it. When purchasing your ticket, be sure to review the specific change and cancellation policies of your chosen company.
Yes, you can travel with children on the bus, but there are important requirements to keep in mind: children must carry their identification (such as a birth certificate or identity card, depending on their age), and if they are not traveling with one or both parents or their legal guardian, they must have a signed authorization from them to board the bus. This authorization may be required by the bus company and is mandatory to ensure the children's safety during the trip.
Yes. Children traveling in their own seat must have a bus ticket, just like any adult. Exceptions may only apply in specific cases defined by each transportation company, so it is recommended to check the conditions before traveling.
Yes, your digital tickets are sent directly to your registered email address and you can also view them in the redBus app.
