Cerete is a colombian municipality located in the department of Cordoba. In Colombia this city is known as the capital of the white gold because they have a great amount of cotton crops. Cerete limits by the north with San Pelayo and Chima, by the east it limits with Cienaga de Oro, by the west it limits with Monteria, and by the south it limits with Monteria and San Carlos. Cerete was founded in 1721 by a group of Jesuits, and it was declared a municipality in 1923. The economy of Cerete is based mainly in the agriculture and ranching activities.

La Dorada is a colombian municipality located in the eastern extremity of the department of Caldas, in the region of Magdalena Medio. La Dorada is the second most important city in the department, after Caldas, and is the second ranching municipality of Colombia, after Monteria.
